June Goals!

I've been really slacking on the whole goals front so far this year. I'm determined to change that. Especially as we're halfway through the year now. How?! Anyway, May was a smashing month. There were so many fantastic moments, check out my Favourite and Life Lately post for more info. But I also totally smashed all my goals. Amazing, huh? Here's how I got on with last month's goals and what goals I'm setting myself for June!

1. Read, at least, ten books. If you've seen my May Reading Wrap-Up//June TBR blog post, you'll see I read a lot more than ten books in May. In fact, I read thirty books! So that was a huge success.

2. Complete a 10k walk. I know a lot of people thought I couldn't, or wouldn't, do this. But I did. And I feel amazing for having completed it. We raised a ton of money and completed an amazing achievement to boot.

3. Get a haircut. Ngl, this one kinda got completed by accident. I was in a local hairdressers with my friend who was booking an appointment. I happened to mention I needed a cut, and they informed me they had a slot available that afternoon. So I jumped right in and took it! I got my hair cut v v short, and I love it. It's so much more manageable and will be a lot cooler over Summer!

I think that's the first time I've ever made it three out of three. I'm so pleased. Here's hoping I can carry this on into June, and keep smashing my goals. Wish me luck for my June goals!

1. Read before bed. Not every night, because some nights I'm too tired. But I want to get back to reading before bed regularly. As long as it's something light-hearted, like Harry Potter, I find it helps reduce the amount of nightmares I have.

2. Do a car boot. I need to get rid of some clutter, and my friend has suggested doing a car boot together. What better way to get rid of clutter than by flogging it to other people?!

3. Don't spend more than I earn. Our financial circumstances are going to change in the next year or so. I need to get a handle on my spending habits and start to be a responsible adult. And that means sticking to a budget and not spending more than I earn (which I tend to do, oh, every month.)

Wish me luck!

What are your goals for June?

  1. Great post, Aimee! Congrats on completing your May goals; you should be proud. Thirty books!! That’s amazing, do you have any tips for reading so many, so quickly? I would love to get into walking too. Reading before bed really helps me as well. I’ve never done a car boot, but it sounds like it could be really useful, and fun! :-) xx
