#MKBParty* || With My Kinda Book

*This is a collaborative post*

Ain't no party like a My Kinda Book Party...'cos a My Kinda Book Party don't stop (until you've turned the last page of the book you're currently reading, and spend the next few days in a book hangover!)

When I was asked to be an online influencer for Pan Macmillan and My Kinda Book, I jumped at the chance. I mean; I'm never going to turn down an opportunity to talk about books on my blog! What I didn't realise, when I agreed to get involved with the #MKBParty, was just how much amazing stuff I would be sent in the My Kinda Book Party Pack!

You've probably heard of Pan Macmillan, but you may not have heard of My Kinda Book. I won't lie; I hadn't either, until I was offered this opportunity. My Kinda Book, run by Macmillan Children's Books UK, is the place to discover upcoming YA reads, authors, and gain access to exclusive content. Over the course of a weekend in November (25th-28th) My Kinda Book were holding a big party; spread across all social media channels, and in people's homes. The aim of this party? To get people reading great books, together, and discussing them. A big ol' book club/slumber party!

The books included in the MKB Party Pack were;

The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge

Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

I won't lie - I squealed a bit when I got to the bottom of my pack and found these three books. Anyone who knows me well will tel you that it's almost impossible to send me books; because I usually already have them, or have read them! But I'm pleased to say, with the exception of The Lie Tree (which I already have a copy of, but haven't read yet), these are all new to me. And I've been wanting to read one of Rainbow Rowell's full-length books for so long; after reading Kindred Spirits, a short story for World Book Day. So I'm really excited to dive right into Fangirl. I've also heard great things about Beautiful Broken Things, and The Lie Tree; so I'm excited to add these to my to-read pile too. I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but I'm guilty of doing that on more than one occasion, and these three books boast gorgeous covers; don't you think?

So, you might be wondering what else was included in the MKB Party Pack, which was sent out to all the influencers. The packs were put together with the aim of encouraging people to host slumber parties or book club meetings, and discuss the three books included in the pack. Since I wasn't going to be hosting a slumber party or book club meeting, there were rather a lot of goodies in the box. So I decided to host a giveaway. If you want to get involved for a chance to win one of four #MKBParty goody bags, just follow me on Twitter and RT this tweet! The giveaway ends tomorrow (28th) at 9PM GMT.

Contents of the MKB Party Pack were:

There were enough goodies in the MKB Party Pack for a party of six and, honestly, I felt like a kid at Christmas! The team could not have put together a better party pack, to be honest; every item was carefully picked out to maximise the party experience! Sweets, hot chocolate, make-up, candles, and books? Sounds like the perfect bookish slumber party to me!

I'm currently in the middle of reading Bridget Jones Mad About The Boy, and Bridget Jones's Baby. But the three books included in the MKB Party Pack are next up on my to-read list. And as soon as I've read each of them, I'll be publishing my review right here on the blog! So keep an eye out for that. And if you've already read any of the books that were included in the party pack; I'd love to know what you thought of them?

Get involved with the #MKBParty by using the hashtag on Twitter/Instagram. And don't forget to enter my giveaway here
