Life Lately - August Edition!

This post is going out a little later than usual, and that's because my blog schedule has been quite manic recently with sponsored posts and brand collaborations. Not complaining, but I've had to reshuffle so many posts that this post got pushed into September. Anyway, August was a busy month not just on my blog but also in my personal life. There's only a few weeks to go now until our wedding, and there's still so much to do! Here's what I got up to in August...

We ordered our wedding flowers! And no - they aren't a bouquet from Tesco, as above. I'm not going to go into detail about the wedding flowers here, I'll talk more about them in my next Let's Talk Wedding update! I've also bought my wedding lingerie; nothing fancy, just a lacy set in ivory. I also had my wedding makeup trial, and was so pleased with how it went. I knew I wanted a subtle, natural look because I don't usually wear makeup. And Sadie, my makeup artist, nailed it!

I started CBT earlier this month. I've only had three sessions, but I feel like it's going quite well so far. Well, that's what my therapist, Anna, says. Sometimes I think I'm noticing a difference, and sometimes I think I'm not. It's hard to say. I don't know whether CBT will work for me in the short-term, but I definitely think it's going to help me in the long-term. So that's something. I had my third hypnotherapy session, this month, too. I enjoy the sessions, and definitely think they are helping with my mood, confidence and self-esteem.

We moved into our new offices in August, too. After months of planning, and setbacks, we finally made it. I've got one of the best rooms in the new offices, too, after the boss! I have a view looking out over the town centre, and the room is nice, light and bright! I just wish I were mentally ready to go back to work now...

What else? Well, I got to catch up with the lovely Steph, who came to my house for McDonald's and movies. I've had countless doctor's appointments and tests, as my heart is beating too fast. I cat-sat (is that a word?) for my old driving instructor. Her two boys, Tommy and Robbie, were a delight to look after and I miss them now she's home! I also met with a coordinator from Cat's Protection with a view to fostering orphaned neo-natal kittens! So that's exciting.

And next month? Nail appointments, dress fittings, the Harry Potter studio tour, my birthday, our wedding day, and two whole weeks off work! Can I get a "hell yeah?" Hell yeah! September's going to rock, I just know it. Bring it on September, I'm ready for you.

What did you get up to in August?
