Things I'm Looking Forward To In February!

Thank god January's over. It never ceases to amaze me just how long the first month of every year feels. I am so ready to put January behind me and get on with the rest of this year. And I'm kicking off with a list of the things I'm most looking forward to in February. Let's do this!

1. Valentine's themed nails. I've been looking forward to my Valentine's Day nails since the start of this year. I'm currently torn between two different designs, one a dark red and the other a bubble-gum pink. You can find out what I go for in my February Favourites post!

2. Moving forward with our fostering application. This month, this week in fact, we have the first of two meetings with our social worker. We should know after this whether we stand a chance of being accepted as foster parents, so keep your fingers crossed for us!

3. Valentine's Day. We don't go big for Valentine's Day. We usually just exchange cards and go somewhere decent for a meal. But it's nice to mark the occasion and celebrate love!

4. Cheap chocolate. But the best part of Valentine's Day is the day after, when all the Valentine's Day chocolates are half-price!

5. Book releases. Another month means another set of fantastic book releases to look forward to. The new Quick Reads titles for 2020 are high on my list of must-haves this month.

6. A meal out with friends. We haven't decided where we're going to eat yet, but at least we have a date in the diary! We haven't seen these friends for a good few months, so it'll be really good to catch up with them. We do this, a meal out together, every few months and it's always something to look forward to.

7. Seeing my mum. Weather permitting I'll be seeing my mum for the first time since Christmas at the end of this month.

8. Visiting the big Primark. My mum and I meet sort of halfway between the two of us, in Cardiff. Which means I get to visit the big Primark. It's like 4/5 floors and has SO MUCH more stuff than my local Primark, which is much smaller and only over 2 floors. I love a good Primark shop/haul. 

9. A shorter month. I love that February only has 29 days. It certainly makes up for January dragging on and on, eh?

10. Spending time with family. Besides seeing my mum at the end of the month, I'll definitely be catching up with my grandparents. I haven't seen any of my family since Christmas so I'm making time this month to spend with them.
