Boost Your Sexual Self-Confidence*

*This is a collaborative post*

Posts about sex are definitely not the norm around here. But last time I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and published something sexual on the blog, it was well received! So I decided I'd do it again. And this time I'm talking bedroom confidence.

When it comes to having confidence in the bedroom, it's definitely not a case of you've either got it or you haven't. Because I didn't have it, but now I do. And you can, too. These are my tried and tested tips for improving your bedroom confidence!

1. Find what makes you feel sexy.
Whether that's granny panties, or a crotchless number; red lipstick, or thigh high boots. Wearing something that makes you feel sexy is an instant confidence booster.

2. Get to know your own body. I'm a massive advocate of masturbation. Not only is it fun, but it also gives you the opportunity to find out what you want in bed; what gets you off. And knowing is half the battle! Once you know what you want, you'll feel more confident in asking for it!

3. Turn down the lights. I'm not suggesting you do it in the dark. No, you should be flaunting your sexy body. I assure you, your guy wants to see it! But try dimming the lights or, if your room isn't fitted with a dimmer switch, turn off the lights and switch a few lamps on. Better yet; light a few candles. The softer lighting will make you both look hella sexy, and you'll feel more confident, too!

4. Watch porn. Alone or with your partner. Explore all the different genres of porn to find out what you enjoy watching. Porn is not only an instant turn-on (when you're watching what you like, of course) but it's a learning curve and will help you feel more confident in your own sexual abilities.

5. Deal with any underlying issues. Whether that's psychological or physical, there are many issues that could be causing low confidence. Erectile dysfunction, for example, can be crippling to a fella's confidence in the bedroom. But it can be easily treated with a range of medication, including Viagra.

Do you have any tips of your own to share?
